Take Olympus plays on 5 reels and 50 paylines, and every 10 spins a different god takes charge of them. Betsoft handed that cycle to Apollo, Poseidon, Hades and Aphrodite, and made Zeus the wild and the god of the free spins. The game went live on 18 February 2021 with a return of 95.49%.

The paylines
A win here follows one of 50 lines across the 5 reels, the plain shape of a slot on any casino floor. Betsoft rates the volatility Low and says 36.35% of spins pay something. The other 63.65% pay nothing at all.
Low volatility means the money comes back in smaller amounts and more often than on a game rated High. You’ll see your balance move in short steps.
Most Olympus games on this site have dropped the lines. Gates of Olympus counts symbols wherever they land on its grid and wants 8 of a kind, and most Rise of Olympus games build their wins on a grid of 5 by 5. Take Olympus keeps the 50 lines of an ordinary video slot. You read a win here the old way.
Betsoft makes Zeus the wild in any shape he lands in. A Zeus 4 symbols tall matters most, since with all 4 other gods on the reels at once he starts the free spins. It’s the tall Zeus you’re waiting for.
The pantheon
Betsoft’s opening screen lines up all 5 gods in gold frames, with a line about each power printed underneath. Apollo is a young archer with golden curls and his bow drawn. Poseidon has a white beard and a gold trident against blue water. Zeus takes the centre frame with his fist raised into a purple sky full of lightning.
Hades stands over fire with Cerberus at his side, and Aphrodite wears a white gown in a frame of green leaves. Gold capitals under the frames announce that the cycle of the gods turns every 10 spins.
Behind them temples sit on a rocky hill under a pink and violet sky. A stone statue of a bearded man with a spear stands on the left, an eagle at his feet. The logo spells TAKE in cracked grey stone and OLYMPUS in cracked gold.
These gods aren’t there to pose. Each one rules the reels for 10 spins, picked at random and never twice in a row, and builds a power that lands when the cycle ends. Apollo’s bow and arrows bring wilds, Poseidon’s trident free respins, Hades a multiplier and Aphrodite’s leaf mystery boxes. In my book that earns the screen.
On the slot floor the regulars chose a cabinet by the face on its glass. Then they stayed or left by how it paid.
Olympus Unleashed from Push Gaming also splits Olympus between gods, Ares, Poseidon and Athena, each with a feature of its own. It runs up to 50 lines at Low volatility too, with a return of 96.32% and a cap of 2,340x. Take Olympus fields 5 gods against 3 and returns 0.83 points less.
The god events
Now, the cycle is the part a plain 50 line slot doesn’t have. During each god’s 10 spins its special symbols get marked on the reels. The marks of Apollo and Aphrodite stay put for all 10 spins of their cycle. Poseidon’s symbols raise a counter by 1 each, and Hades’ symbols raise his multiplier.
When the 10 spins run out, the power lands as a God Event and a new god takes over. Betsoft’s news has Hades and his hellhound put the multiplier on any win of that last spin. Apollo’s cycle ends in wilds, Aphrodite’s in mystery boxes and Poseidon’s in free respins. The god on duty picks the gift.
Betsoft’s news promises a new feature with each new cycle, so you know when the next God Event is coming. You don’t know what it will pay. The size rests on the marks and the counters the god built up in its 10 spins.
Mind you, the God Events are part of the 95.49%, not an extra on top of it. The return already counts every one of them.
The free spins
Zeus opens the free spins himself. He has to land 4 symbols tall while Apollo, Poseidon, Hades and Aphrodite all show on the reels at once, and then you get 10 free spins. Betsoft’s page doesn’t say much more about the round itself. The opening screen does call Zeus the god of free spins, and that’s the job he does here.
Allfather’s Grace is the road to Zeus in Betsoft’s news. In it Zeus takes on the power of the god who rules the reels at the time. Betsoft names 4 versions, Wilds, Mysteries, Abundance and Chaos of Zeus.
Between them they bring 5 or more wilds, 5 or more mystery symbols, large multipliers or extra free spins. The ruling god decides which one you get.
The bought bonus
Take Olympus sells no free spins, and Betsoft lists no ante bet either. You can’t buy your way in, so every round comes off the reels at the stake you picked.
The figures
Betsoft prints one return for Take Olympus, 95.49%, and the demo reported the same figure when it was opened on 30 September 2026. The page shows no second version of the game. Volatility is Low on Betsoft’s own scale.
Among the Olympus games on this site, only Goals of Olympus BoltLock and Olympus 7s Dream Drop print a lower top return, 94.00% each. Most of the rest sit between 96.00% and 96.70%.
Now, the release news puts the largest win at 2,328x the stake. No other Olympus game on this site prints a lower cap, and Olympus Wins sits at the far end with 100,000x. Betsoft’s page names no stake range either, so this review leaves the cap in multiples of the stake.
The low cap fits the Low rating. A game that pays on 36.35% of spins spreads its return across many small wins. A cap shows the best case, and it won’t tell you what a normal night looks like.
Take Olympus went live on 18 February 2021, and the release news followed on 12 March 2021. It calls the game the third Betsoft slot with a spin cycle, after Take the Bank in 2019 and Take Santa’s Shop in 2020. It’s one idea in its third costume.
The score
Score: 7.5 out of 10. Betsoft’s gods do real work, Zeus as the wild and the other 4 through the powers of their cycle, and that’s worth half a point. The cycle adds another half, since Hades’ multiplier and Poseidon’s counter grow for 10 spins before they pay. The 95.49% return and the 2,328x cap move the score neither way.
