Olympus Slots with Paylines
A payline is a set path from the first reel to the last, and only symbols on that path can win. Take Olympus draws 50 of them, with Zeus as the wild.

The path
A payline is a route fixed in advance, one position on every reel from the first to the last. A win needs matching symbols along that route, beginning on the leftmost reel. A symbol one row away from it doesn’t count, however many of its kind you can see. The line is the whole rule.
More lines aren’t a better return. The percentage a studio prints already counts every line the game has, the busy ones and the quiet ones alike. Lines decide where a win may sit, never how much the game gives back.
The cycle of gods
Take Olympus from Betsoft draws 50 paylines across 5 reels, and Zeus works as the wild in any configuration. The other gods take turns. A different one rules every 10 spins, drawn at random, and the same god never rules twice running. You’ll see each job on the intro screen. Apollo’s bow and arrows are wilds, Poseidon’s trident brings free respins, Hades and Cerberus award multipliers, and Aphrodite’s leaf reveals mystery boxes. At the end of a cycle the reigning god’s power lands as a God Event. These gods work the lines.
Now, the free spins come from Zeus himself. He has to stand 4 symbols tall on the same spin that shows the other 4 gods, and that spin awards 10 free spins. Betsoft prints 95.49% on its page and calls the volatility Low. Its own count has 36.35% of spins returning something. The release news sets the top win at 2,328x the stake, and no stake range is printed anywhere official.
The fight on the reels
Vikings Go To Olympus puts Yggdrasil’s Norse raiders on 5 reels of 4 rows and lets them pick a fight with the gods. One scatter is enough in the base game. It calls Poseidon down for a duel, and a viking who beats him can stay on the reels as a sticky wild. 3 scatters or more carry the duels up the mountain to Zeus, who fights back on every free spin. There each fresh sticky wild lifts the multiplier on all the sticky wilds before it by 1. The intro screen shows you Zeus and Poseidon with glowing eyes over an orange, stormy sky.
Mind you, Yggdrasil’s page gives the grid and leaves the number of lines off. It prints 96.00% with a 90.50% version beside it, rates the game Medium-High and caps a win at 6,000x. Its news mentions a bought bonus for certain markets and never prices it. It’s worth saying when a count is missing.
The armoured three
Olympus Unleashed from Push Gaming runs up to 50 lines on 5 reels of 5 symbols. Its wilds come with 2x, 3x or 5x attached, and the values add up when 2 or more sit on one line. Ares, Poseidon and Athena stand on the intro screen in futuristic armour of red, blue and green, and each has an Unleashed feature of their own. 5 high symbols of one kind open it for you, and so does reel 1 filled top to bottom with one symbol. The demo rules print 96.32%, the page adds a 94.36% version, Push Gaming rates it low and a single round tops out at 2,340x.
The painted lines
The older cabinets on my slot floor had their lines printed on the glass, coloured zigzags with a number at each end. I learnt every zigzag in my first week on the slot floor, because the regulars tested new staff on them. Not one of those regulars ever asked me for a machine’s percentage. The lines were the part they could see.
The 3 studios supplied every figure here through their pages, their release news and the rules in their demos, and each review carries the dates. How the Reviews Work lists which documents a review may quote. Read the percentage before the lines.
