Vikings Go To Olympus is a game of 5 reels and 4 rows where the features arrive as fights. A scatter in the base game sends the Vikings into a respin against Poseidon. The free spins carry the battle up to Olympus itself, where Zeus meets them on every spin. Yggdrasil puts the biggest win at 6,000x the stake.

The base game
Now, the grid is 5 reels by 4 rows. Yggdrasil’s page doesn’t print a number of paylines, and this review won’t guess one. You can stake anything from $0.10 to $100 on a spin, and $1 is set when the game first opens. It runs on phones too.
A single scatter in the base game starts a Wild Fight Respin. The Vikings on the reels square up to Poseidon, and each of them has a chance to turn into a sticky wild. With 2 scatters, those wilds carry a 2x multiplier. Poseidon only fights when a scatter calls him.
Each Viking also collects coins, and the coins feed his Rage. Once the Rage is full he turns Berzerk, and Yggdrasil’s launch news says the chance of free spins then rises sharply. The news puts no number on it. It’s a better chance, not a promise.
Yggdrasil rates the game Medium-High, and its intro screen lights 4 of 5 volatility marks. You’ll wait longer for the wins that matter than on a medium game, and they’ll come in larger lumps when they do. Pick a stake you can keep up through the gaps.
The Viking raid
In most Olympus games in this catalogue the god works for the player. Here the gods are the other side. Yggdrasil’s launch news calls the Vikings games its flagship series, and this one sends Norse raiders to fight the Greek gods on their own mountain.
The intro screen sets 2 gods under the game’s name. Zeus has white hair, a long white beard and orange light in his eyes. Poseidon stands at his shoulder in a blue glow, with dark blue hair, a metal band across his brow and pale blue eyes. Behind them an orange storm sky splits with lightning over the roof of a Greek temple. Yggdrasil’s own background art moves the scene to sea, with a rocky island under black cloud and a white temple on its summit.
The logo puts VIKINGS in steel grey and OLYMPUS in gold, with a crack through the middle. The respin tile shows a shieldmaiden with red-gold hair and green paint on her face. Her eyes glow green, and a round shield rests at her shoulder. The wild is a gold word on a dark tile.
Poseidon fights the Vikings in the base game and Zeus fights them on every free spin. The page also lists Zeus Intervention among the 5 features, without a word on what it does. The gods hand nothing out. The sticky wilds come out of fights with them, and in my book that counts as work.
Yggdrasil went back up the mountain in July 2026 with Goals of Olympus BoltLock, where the gods play football in a stadium on the summit. Its best version returns 94.00% and its cap is 5,800x. Vikings Go To Olympus beats it by 2 points and by 200x.
The free spins
3 or more scatters take the Vikings into the free spins, and the fight moves up to Mount Olympus. Zeus takes on the Vikings in a Wild Fight on every spin of the round. RushingWilds does the stacking from there. Each new sticky wild adds 1 to the multiplier of every sticky wild already on the reels, so the multipliers only climb. Both gods stand behind the free spins title on the intro screen, though the round’s fights are with Zeus.
Now, the order of arrival matters. A wild that lands early collects 1 for every wild that follows it. A late one has fewer still to come. The intro screen shows a gold wild tile with 8x beside it.
A Berzerk Viking pays off twice. He raises the chance of the round, and inside it he always wins his fight. Neither the page nor the launch news says how many free spins the round lasts. This review won’t invent a number.
The bought bonus
Yggdrasil’s launch news says the free spins can be bought outright with the Buy Bonus, though not everywhere. Neither the news nor the game page prints a price, so this review can’t give you one in stakes or in dollars. The page shows no separate percentage for the bought round either. On the slot floor a feature came when it came, and nobody could pay to skip the queue. A bought bonus changes the pace, not the game.
The numbers
Yggdrasil publishes 2 versions of the game, 96.00% and 90.50%, and the game’s own rules name the one in play. Mind you, the gap between them is 5.50 points on the same reels. Read the percentage before you pick a stake.
At the $0.10 minimum the 6,000x cap pays $600, and the $100 top stake takes it to $600,000. The default $1 spin puts it at $6,000. A bigger stake buys a bigger win, not better odds.
The game came out on 24 April 2025, the date on both the page and the launch news. Some game lists give 24 February 2025, the day Yggdrasil’s page went up, 2 months before the launch. Yggdrasil lists the game in Bulgarian, Czech, Polish, Romanian and Ukrainian among many other languages. Every figure here comes from those 2 Yggdrasil records. Both were read on 30 September 2026.
The full meter
Regulars trusted the meter on a machine more than the machine itself. A meter close to full looks like a promise. I watched players stay on long after they meant to leave, just to see one fill. They’d tell the floor staff the machine was “due”.
On this game the meter does real work. A Berzerk Viking raises the chance of free spins, by Yggdrasil’s own news, and he wins every fight once the round starts. A better chance still isn’t a debt, and the 96.00% already counts every Viking who goes Berzerk. No meter makes a machine owe you.
The score
Score: 7.5 out of 10. Poseidon and Zeus add half a point, because every sticky wild has to be taken off them in a fight. RushingWilds earns another half for multipliers that only climb through the free spins. The 96.00% and the 6,000x cap add nothing and take nothing. The 2 versions cost nothing either, since the game’s rules show which one is loaded.
