The lightning bolt

BGaming draws Zeus with long white hair, a full white beard, a heavy frown and blue sparks of lightning in his eyes. His chest is bare. A gold plate with a red strap covers one shoulder, a red cape falls behind him and gold cuffs close round his wrists. The bolt in his fist glows pale blue.

The studio’s banner sets him in front of tall stone columns under pink and violet clouds. The opening screen of the demo turns the reels into a temple. 2 white marble columns carry a stone beam with the winged gold logo at its centre, the maximum win on its left and the 262,144 ways on its right. Behind them sit a starry night sky, banks of cloud and pale towers with domes and spires.

Crested helmets, a double-headed axe and a round medallion share the reels with purple and red gems. The coins are gold discs with their value written across the face.

The bolt in his fist is the Collect feature. Every scatter that lands takes its place in the lightning, and a full bolt changes colour. From then on the Mega jackpot is in play in the Coin Respin. BGaming’s rules call him the king of the gods. A god who keeps count is a working god.

The shifting reels

On the slot floor I watched players walk past a whole bank of machines to reach the one with a god painted on the glass. The picture brought them to the seat. The play decided whether they stayed.

Now, the grid has 6 reels, and each one shows between 2 and 8 symbols on every spin. The number of ways changes with the heights, up to 262,144 when all 6 reels show 8. BGaming calls this mechanic Trueways. A win needs matching symbols on neighbouring reels counted from reel 1, and wins on different ways are added together. Only the highest win on a single way is paid.

The wild lands on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5 only and stands in for every symbol except the scatter. The scatter can land anywhere and pays on its own from 3. Gold coins drop on all 6 reels with the rest, and 6 or more in one spin start the Coin Respin. The heights change on their own. You can’t choose them.

The free spins

4 scatters give you 12 free spins, 5 give 15 and 6 give 20. Inside the round 3 scatters add 5 more, 4 add 12, 5 add 15 and 6 add 20. The spins are played at the bet that started them. You can’t change it halfway.

Every wild in the round carries 2x, 3x or 5x. The rules add up the multipliers on one spin and apply the total to every win on it. 3 wilds worth 2x, 3x and 5x make 10x. Reels 1 and 6 never get a wild.

The Coin Respin

The Coin Respin is a round of coins and nothing else. The coins that started it stay put, and the grid keeps the cells of the spin that triggered it. You get 3 respins, every new coin sticks, and each coin or lightning symbol that lands sets the count back to 3.

Coins carry 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x or 100x the bet. A lightning symbol splits the cell it lands in, a large cell into 2 middle ones and a middle cell into 2 small ones. A bolt that hits a small cell splits a filled larger cell at random instead, and its coin then pays in both halves.

The round ends when the respins run out or every cell on the grid holds a coin, and the values are then added up and paid. The grid can grow to 48 positions. Each bolt buys you room and time.

The three jackpots

The Mini and the Major come from special coins in the Coin Respin, and the rules print no values for either. The Mega needs a full bolt in Zeus’s hand and coins in all 48 positions. BGaming’s page puts it at 1,000x the stake, which turns a $0.10 spin into $100 and a $1 spin into $1,000.

BGaming prints 96.70% with the 3 jackpots counted and 96.23% with them left out. The jackpots hold 0.47 points of the return.

The bought bonus

Now, both rounds can be bought. You’ll see the price on a button in the main game, and it moves with your stake. The next spin after the purchase starts the round you chose. The price isn’t printed as a multiple of the stake on BGaming’s page or in its rules. This page has no dollar figure to give you.

BGaming prints the bought free spins at 96.70%. The bought Coin Respin returns 96.70% with its jackpots and 92.66% without them, so 4.04 points of that purchase ride on the jackpots. A bought bonus keeps the percentage and changes only the speed. The rules list no ante bet.

The numbers

The return is 96.70%, the figure on BGaming’s page and in the settings of the demo when both were read on 30 September 2026. The settings carry 96.23% for the game with the jackpots left out. It’s one game counted 2 ways, not 2 versions.

BGaming rates the volatility Very High, the top of a catalogue scale that runs Low, High and Very High. The maximum win is 5,000x your stake, or $500 for a $0.10 spin and $5,000 for a $1 spin. BGaming’s page lists 250,000 euros at the largest stake. Stakes in the demo run from $0.10 to $50. The release date on BGaming’s page is 21 May 2025.

The score

Score: 8.0 out of 10. The bolt in Zeus’s hand adds 0.5, since the scatters it gathers decide whether the Mega can land at all. The 96.70% return adds 0.5 more, and so do the extra spins that scatters hand out inside the free spins. A 5,000x cap moves nothing, and the jackpot-free 96.23% is the same game counted differently, so no half point comes off.
