Poseidon Olympus Slots

Poseidon appears in 8 Olympus slots here, mostly beside his brother Zeus. In each of them the sea god has a job on the reels, from adding wilds to fighting vikings.

The sea god

Poseidon was a son of the Titan Cronus and an older brother of Zeus. When the gods divided the world after their war on the Titans, the sea became his. The Greeks called him the Earth-shaker and made him the god of horses as well. He even lost a contest with Athena for the city of Athens. Play’n GO’s notes on the brothers say his temper is as rough as the oceans. The slots kept his trident.

The trident on screen

You’ll know Play’n GO’s Poseidon by his long brown hair, a spiked gold crown and a gold trident. In the 2018 Rise of Olympus he stands with his brothers on a rock above a stormy sea. Rise of Olympus 100 sets him beside the grid against a sea-green backdrop of ruined columns. On the reels his portrait sits in a green frame, and the green trident symbol is his. Green marks him across the series.

Betsoft’s Poseidon in Take Olympus is older, with a white beard and blue water behind his trident. Yggdrasil gives him dark blue hair and glowing blue eyes on the free spins card of Vikings Go To Olympus. Push Gaming goes furthest in Olympus Unleashed, where he’s a hero in blue armour and a helmet. His trident there crackles with electricity.

The sea god’s work

Now, Poseidon has a job in every one of these games. In most Rise of Olympus games he drops 1 or 2 wilds onto a spin that paid nothing whenever he’s the active brother. Choose him before the free spins and you start with 5 spins, with 3 more for every full meter. The 2018 game works that way, and so do Rise of Olympus 100 and Extreme.

In Rise of Olympus Origins an empowered Poseidon adds 2 to 4 wilds, and his chest in the free spins pays 75x to 1,000x. Rise of Olympus 1000 makes him the middle rung of its multiplier, between Hades and Zeus. Switch on GO Ultra there, and every Hades multiplier you land is sure to reach him. Zeus still outranks him on that ladder.

Betsoft hands him 10 spins of his own in Take Olympus. His symbols raise a counter during his reign, and his cycle ends in free respins. Yggdrasil makes him the first opponent of the vikings. A scatter in the base game of Vikings Go To Olympus starts a Wild Fight respin against him, and the vikings in that fight can turn into sticky wilds. 2 scatters give those wilds a 2x multiplier.

In Olympus Unleashed he’s one of 3 hero symbols, with Ares and Athena. 5 Poseidon symbols at once, or a full stack on the first reel, start his own Unleashed round. His symbols lock in place there and the empty spaces spin again. Push Gaming gives each hero’s round its own volatility.
