Rise of Olympus Series
Play'n GO has made 5 Rise of Olympus games since 2018. Zeus, Poseidon and Hades work the grid in all of them, and every edition gives the brothers a different job.
The brothers’ grid
The first Rise of Olympus arrived on 22 August 2018, and its 5 by 5 grid carried on through 4 of the 5 games. Wins run in straight lines of 3 or more, across or down, and the winning symbols drop away so the grid can refill. The portraits of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades pay the most, with the helmet, trident and bolt below them. An empty grid is the prize you chase.
The brothers do real work on that grid. Whenever a spin comes up empty, the brother beside the reels may step in with a trick of his own. Hades makes one kind of symbol into another. Poseidon’s gift is 1 or 2 extra wilds. Zeus deletes 2 kinds of symbol at once. Wins with god symbols charge a meter, and a full meter starts the Wrath of Olympus, a free round where all 3 act in turn. In 3 of the games you choose a brother before the free spins, and he helps on every losing spin. There’s no bought bonus in any of the 5.
The 5 editions
Now, each sequel changes the bonus more than the grid. The 2018 game lets its multiplier climb to 20x in free spins that stop at 20 spins. Rise of Olympus 100 of 10 November 2022 lets both run to 100. Rise of Olympus Extreme of 4 September 2025 keeps the 100 spins, lifts the multiplier limit to 1,000x and can bump the multiplier at random before a round. The numbers in the names are the limits.
Rise of Olympus Origins of 25 July 2024 goes the other way. The brothers wait for their own portraits to win before they act, relic wins can charge them up, and the rules don’t name a climbing multiplier. Each grid you clear inside its free spins opens a chest instead, up to 3 times a round. Hades holds 5x to 150x, Poseidon 75x to 1,000x and Zeus 1,000x to 10,000x.
Rise of Olympus 1000 of 5 February 2026 leaves the old grid behind. It pays anywhere for 8 or more of a symbol on 6 reels and 5 rows, and its multipliers climb a ladder of 15 stages to 1,000x. Each one lands as Hades and can rise to Poseidon and then Zeus. 3 scatters start 12 free spins there, and the round can grow to 36.
The printed figures
Play’n GO prints 5 versions of every game in the series. The defaults are 96.50% for the 2018 game, 96.20% for the 100 and Extreme, 96.29% for Origins and 96.24% for the 1000. The lowest versions sit between 84.20% and 84.50%. Each game’s rules name the version your casino runs.
Mind you, the series gets wilder as it goes. Play’n GO rates the 2018 game 6 out of 10 for volatility, the 100 and Origins 8, and Extreme and the 1000 a full 10. The caps rise from 5,000x in 2018 through 15,000x and 20,000x to 50,000x and 60,000x. The 2018 game and the 100 take $0.20 to $100 a spin, Origins and Extreme $0.10 to $100, and the 1000 $0.10 to $50.
The first game
Start where the series started. The 2018 Rise of Olympus has the lowest volatility rating of the 5 and the highest default return, and its free spins stop at 20 spins and 20x. You’ll learn what each brother does there before the later games raise the limits. Go to Origins next for the chests, or to the 1000 for the multiplier ladder. It’s the same family either way.
Every edition has a review and a score here, all built on the rubric of How the Reviews Work. The Play’n GO page covers how the studio prints its RTP versions.
