The brothers
Every Play’n GO game here belongs to the Rise of Olympus series. Rise of Olympus opened it on 22 August 2018, and Rise of Olympus 1000 is the newest, from 5 February 2026. Rise of Olympus 100, Origins and Extreme came between them. The game page tells the myth in a few lines. Once the brothers had beaten their father Cronus, they shared out the world, and Zeus kept the sky for himself, with the sea for Poseidon and the underworld for Hades.
The changing scene
Play’n GO draws the brothers as 3 very different men and gives each one his own world behind the grid. Hades wears a hood and a dark cloak against red rock and lava, a staff in his hand. Poseidon holds his trident among sea-green ruins. Zeus folds his arms on a cliff under a violet sky, with a temple on a floating rock behind him. You’ll know which god is on duty before you read a word.
The symbols keep the family together. Each brother has a portrait tile, Zeus white-bearded, Poseidon crowned and Hades hooded. Their emblems fill the rest of the grid, a bolt for Zeus, a trident for Poseidon and a horned helmet for Hades, with a gold lyre beside them in most games. The 1000 adds gems, and its scatter is a temple gate full of light.
The gods on duty
Here the gods earn their place on the screen. In the first game, the 100 and Extreme, a spin that pays nothing can bring one of the brothers in to help. Hades changes one kind of symbol into another. Poseidon adds wilds, 1 or 2 at a time. Zeus wipes 2 kinds of symbol off the grid. In Extreme they take turns in that order.
God symbols in a win also charge a meter, and a full meter lets all 3 use their powers one after another. Extreme lets you choose which brother keeps you company through its free spins. Zeus gives the longest round at 8 spins and Hades the shortest at 4. The 1000 hands them the multipliers. Each one starts life as Hades and may be promoted twice, first to Poseidon and then to Zeus, and the top value is 1,000x. No god in this series just stands and watches.
The version ladder
Play’n GO publishes more RTP versions than any other studio here. Its game page and the rules sheet of each game list 5 RTP versions. The top ones are 96.50% for Rise of Olympus, 96.29% for Origins, 96.24% for the 1000 and 96.20% for the 100 and Extreme. Each ladder steps down to a bottom version 12 points lower, 84.50% on the first game.
Now, the art and the features don’t change from one version to the next. The gods, the grid and the free spins look the same at 96.50% and at 84.50%. Only the percentage tells them apart. Your copy of the game runs one of the 5.
The rating scale
Play’n GO also rates volatility out of 10. Rise of Olympus sits at 6, the 100 and Origins at 8, and Extreme and the 1000 get the full 10. The biggest win grows with the rating. Rise of Olympus stops at 5,000x, Extreme at 50,000x and the 1000 at 60,000x. Stakes start at $0.20 or $0.10 and stop at $100, except on the 1000, which stops at $50. None of the 5 sells its free spins. Every round is won on the grid.
The way in
Start with Rise of Olympus. It’s the plainest of the 5 and carries the highest top figure, and each sequel then adds one twist to the same 3 brothers. How the Reviews Work uses this very ladder of versions as its example of a studio that prints more than one figure. The brothers are worth meeting in order.
