Hades Olympus Slots

Hades appears in 8 Olympus slots here, most often as the hooded brother in Play'n GO's Rise of Olympus. His work on the reels mostly means changing symbols or multiplying wins.

The god of the dead

In Greek myth the dead belonged to Hades. He was the eldest son of Cronus, and when his brothers Zeus and Poseidon took the sky and the sea, the underworld fell to him. Cerberus, a dog with 3 heads, guarded its gates, and Hades carried off Persephone to be his queen. He lived below the earth, so he’s seldom counted among the 12 Olympians. Play’n GO’s notes call him the stoic brother.

The hooded brother

Play’n GO dresses him in a black hooded cloak over silver armour, with a dark beard and a tall staff. In the 2018 Rise of Olympus the staff ends in a glowing orange orb. He stands to the right of the reels whenever he’s the active god. The art for Rise of Olympus 1000 sets the top of his staff on fire. You’ll spot him on the reels as the portrait in the red frame, and the horned helmet is his symbol. The series gives him red, as Poseidon gets green.

Betsoft’s Hades in Take Olympus stands bare-chested against a wall of flame, and his card names Cerberus beside him. The hound comes straight from the myth.

The powers below

Now, as the active god in Rise of Olympus, Hades can swap a whole set of symbols for a different one on a spin that pays nothing. Rise of Olympus 100 keeps that power for him, as does Rise of Olympus Extreme. When the Wrath of Olympus meter fills in those 2 games, his power fires before his brothers act. Pick him for the free spins and you start with just 4 spins, but every full meter adds 4 more. He’s the slow starter of the 3.

In Rise of Olympus Origins a win made of Hades symbols can set off his power, and an empowered Hades converts 2 or 3 sets at once. His chest in the free spins is the smallest of the 3, at 5x to 150x. Rise of Olympus 1000 starts every multiplier as Hades, the bottom rung below Poseidon and Zeus. Everything there begins with him.

Take Olympus puts Hades in charge for a cycle of 10 spins. While he reigns, every symbol of his builds a multiplier, and the last spin of the cycle pays your wins with it. Relax Gaming puts his mini slot on reel 2 of Olympus 7s Dream Drop, where any win you land can be multiplied by 1 to 10 at random, up to 100x. His mini slot also feeds the Midi jackpot. Push Gaming draws the gods as cats in Cats of Olympuss, but its rules give Hades no job of his own.

The dark glass

I knew regulars who walked past any machine with a skull painted on its glass. They called it bad luck, and nothing the floor staff said moved them. The dark machines paid by their own percentages, the same way the bright ones did. The art never picked a winner.

A god earns his half point in a review here by doing something on the reels, as How the Reviews Work sets out. Hades does something in 7 of his 8 games.
