The small grid

Now, 9 positions are all the grid holds, so you can read a spin at a glance. A win needs matching symbols on adjacent reels from the left. Only the highest win counts on each way, and wins on several ways add up. The base game has no multipliers of its own.

The scatter can land on any reel. When one stops in the middle of the grid without 2 more beside it, the reels holding scatters stay put and the rest spin again. Each new scatter holds its own reel for one more respin. You’ll need 3 scatters on screen when the respins end to open the free spins.

The thunder god

Zeus stands at full height on the right of the intro screen, white-haired and white-bearded under a gold laurel crown, with eyes that glow blue. He wears a white robe, a gold shoulder plate and a gold belt set with a blue stone. Purple and pink storm cloud fills the sky behind him. On the game’s tile he stands before a marble palace with fire in gold bowls.

The symbols are treasure in gold frames. A crown, a ring, a goblet and an hourglass share the reels with cut gems. The scatter shows his face over the word scatter.

He’s busier than his share of the grid suggests. His face holds the reels for the respin, which the intro screen calls Thunder Spins, and opens the free spins. In the first mini game his face is on every spin symbol, and the 3 respins sit in a column of lightning bolts marked lives.

The first Gates of Olympus puts Zeus beside a 6 by 5 grid that pays anywhere and tumbles. There he calls down multipliers on any spin, the return is 96.50% and the cap is 5,000x. Pachi keeps the cap and prints 96.04%. Its multipliers wait for the super round.

The mini games

The free spins don’t start at a fixed number. A respin mini game runs first on its own 3 by 3 grid, where spin symbols worth 1 to 16 stick as they land. It opens with 3 respins, and every new symbol sets them back to 3. The values add up to your free spins.

All reels carry stacks of symbols in the round, and every scatter that lands is collected. 12 in one round bring the super free spins once it ends. A super mini game sets their multiplier first, with symbols from 1x to 91x that stick and add up. The total applies to every win of the 3 super free spins, and the rules guarantee each a winning combination. A win is promised, but its size isn’t.

The bought rounds

Pachi sells both of its rounds. The free spins cost 70x the bet and the super free spins 300x, and the game’s data lists 96.04% for each purchase, the same as plain play. At $1 a spin that’s $70 or $300, and at the $0.10 minimum $7 or $30. You buy time, never a better return.

The numbers

Pragmatic Play keeps no page for Pachi, and the address for one returned an error on 1 October 2026. The demo’s rules and data that day supply every figure here. The return is 96.04% for plain spins and for both purchases, with no second version listed. The intro screen labels the volatility high.

A round stops the moment it reaches 5,000x the bet, $500 at the $0.10 minimum and $5,000 at $1. Any features left over are lost. Your stake can go up to $250. No release date is published.

The score

Score: 7.5 out of 10. The face on the scatter earns Zeus half a point for the respins and both mini games. Spins and multipliers that pile up before each round earn another half. Neither the 96.04% nor the 5,000x cap reaches a mark that moves the score.
