You win in Gates of Olympus 1000 with 8 or more of one symbol anywhere on a grid 6 reels wide and 5 rows deep. Each win tumbles off, and new symbols fall into its place. Zeus waits beside the grid, and Pragmatic Play's launch news has him strike multipliers worth up to 1,000x onto it. The top win is 15,000x the stake.

The reels
Now, nothing here runs on paylines. The game counts how many of each symbol sit on the screen when a spin stops, and 8 or more of one kind pay. The winners disappear, the symbols above slide down and new ones drop in from the top. Tumbles carry on for as long as each fall makes a new win. You don’t pay a cent for them.
Multiplier symbols can turn up on any reel, in a spin or in a tumble, each with a value from 2x to 1,000x. Once the tumbles stop, the game adds up every multiplier left on the screen and multiplies the sequence’s whole win by the sum. A multiplier on a spin that pays you nothing is wasted. It needs a win to work on.
The thunderbolt
Pragmatic Play didn’t redraw its Olympus for this one. The intro screen of Gates of Olympus 1000 has the same white temple behind the reels, the same pink and violet evening sky and the same marble columns with fire on top. Zeus takes the right-hand side of the screen, white-haired under a gold laurel wreath, with eyes lit blue. His chest is bare under a gold strap and a white robe lined in purple, with gold guards on his arms and shins.
The symbols are his treasure, gems in blue, purple, green and yellow, a gold crown on red and an hourglass on green. His own face, captioned scatter, opens the free spins. The changes are in the details. Blue lightning runs along the grid lines, the 1000 in the logo glows white, and the game’s tile shows Zeus raising a fist into a storm.
He has a job as well as a pose. The launch news has him strike with his thunderbolt at any moment, in the base game or during free spins, and every strike is a multiplier from 2x to 1,000x. In my book a god who throws the multipliers has earned his spot beside the reels.
Next to Gates of Olympus, the 2021 game, the difference is all in the numbers. Both return 96.50% on the same grid that pays anywhere, but there the multipliers stop at 500x and a win at 5,000x. Here they reach 1,000x and 15,000x. The intro screen also moves the volatility from medium to high.
The free spins
4 or more scatters anywhere open 15 free spins, played on special reels. Each multiplier that comes with a win goes into a total kept for the whole round. When a later win brings a new multiplier, the total multiplies it, and a win with no new multiplier pays as it stands. Land 3 or more scatters during the round and 5 more spins join it. The total keeps what you’ve gathered until the last spin.
The bought bonus
Pragmatic Play sells you the free spins for 100x the stake, $20 at the lowest stake of $0.20 and $100 at $1. The bought spin is sure to bring 4 scatters. At 96.49%, the bought round returns 0.01 points less than ordinary play, by the rules inside the demo. A bought bonus gets you there sooner, not further.
Now, the ante takes the opposite road. It puts 25% on top of every spin, so your $1 stake becomes $1.25, and the rules double the chance of the free spins arriving by themselves. Its return stays at 96.50%. With the ante on, you can’t buy the round.
The numbers
The return is 96.50% on Pragmatic Play’s page, and the demo’s rules gave the same figure when read on 30 September 2026. No second version turns up in the studio’s figures. The intro screen labels the game high volatility, and stakes run from $0.20 to $240 a spin.
The cap of 15,000x is $3,000 at $0.20 and $15,000 at $1. With the ante on, the demo’s figures cap a win at 12,000x of a $1.25 spin, which is also $15,000. The ante doesn’t move the cap in dollars. Pragmatic Play put out its launch news on 14 December 2023.
The score
Score: 8.5 out of 10. The thunderbolt is worth half a point, since Zeus throws the multipliers himself, and the 96.50% return earns another. The round’s total multiplier never falls, which is worth a half, and the 15,000x cap is past the 10,000x line for the fourth. Nothing in the rubric takes a point away.
