Forge of Olympus keeps its best for the free spins, where every multiplier hammer that lands goes onto a meter. Collect enough and the round climbs through 4 levels, until each hammer is worth 50x to 100x. A red-bearded smith stands at his anvil beside the reels. Pragmatic Play prints a 96.25% return for the game.

The four levels

Now, the free round gives 10 spins for 4 scatters, 15 for 5 and 20 for 6, and it runs on special reels. The round opens at level 1, where a hammer can carry anything from 2x to 100x. Every hammer that lands is collected on a meter. 6 of them lift you to level 2, where the lowest value is 8x.

5 more reach level 3, with 15x as the lowest value, and 4 after that reach level 4, where every hammer lands between 50x and 100x. Level 4 holds until the last spin. Each time 3 scatters or more land in the round, it gains 5 spins. The levels only ever climb.

Inside the round the hammers pay as they do in the base game, one tumble sequence at a time. Only the level and the meter carry over between spins. The level sets how heavy your next hammer can be.

The bought bonus

Pragmatic Play sells 4 ways in. 100x the stake buys a round that starts at level 1, 200x guarantees level 2, 400x level 3 and 500x level 4. At the lowest stake of $0.20 they cost $20, $40, $80 and $100. The number of scatters on a bought spin is random, so your spin count isn’t fixed.

Now, the percentages differ by door. The rules inside the demo print 96.42% for the 100x round, 96.70% for 200x and 96.32% for both 400x and 500x, against 96.25% for the game itself. Every bought round is printed above the base game, the 200x one highest at 0.45 points over it. They’re fractions of a point. What a bought bonus mostly changes is the speed.

The ante puts a quarter on top of each spin, $1.25 for every $1, and by the rules the free spins then come twice as often by themselves. Its return is 96.23%, 0.02 points under the plain game. While it’s on, nothing can be bought.

The forge

Forge of Olympus leaves the cloud palace behind and goes down into the fire. The intro screen shows a red and orange sky over cracked stone run through with lava, and glowing peaks beyond. A white temple stands faint in the haze to the left. A gold frame holds the reels against dark purple.

To the right of the grid a smith stands at his anvil with a heavy hammer resting on it. He has a wild red-brown beard, eyes that glow red and glowing yellow marks across his shoulder and arm. On the game’s tile he lifts the hammer over his head with lightning round it and a golden archway behind him. Pragmatic Play never names him, and its page talks only of multipliers fit for a Titan.

The symbols are a smith’s treasure. Gold rings carry blue stones, bronze shields carry a face ringed with curls, and gold goblets sit beside cut gems in green, pink and yellow. The multipliers are hammers inside a ring of fire, with their value printed in green. You can’t miss a hammer when it lands.

The smith himself does nothing in the rules. He stands at his anvil while the hammers land on their own, so the theme lives in the symbols and not in the god. Gates of Olympus runs the same 6 by 5 grid that pays anywhere, with the same 5,000x cap and a 96.50% return. There Zeus sends the multipliers down himself, up to 500x.

The reels

The base game follows the familiar Pragmatic Play pattern. 8 or more of one symbol anywhere on the grid make a win. The winners clear, and the symbols above fall while new ones drop in from the top. A sequence ends once a fall pays nothing new. The tumbles cost you nothing extra.

Hammers can land on any reel in the base game too, worth 2x to 100x. When the sequence ends, their values are added together and the sum multiplies everything the sequence paid. A hammer needs a win beside it to count.

The numbers

Pragmatic Play’s page gives 96.25%, and the rules inside the demo matched it on 30 September 2026. No other version of the base game appears in the studio’s figures. The intro screen calls the volatility high, and stakes run from $0.20 to $240.

The cap is 5,000x the stake, $1,000 at $0.20 and $5,000 at $1. The rules end a round the moment it reaches the cap, and any features still to come are forfeited. With no launch news from Pragmatic Play, the date comes from its game page, 6 August 2023.

The warm machine

The regulars swore a machine warmed up the longer it was played, and they’d call one “hot” after a busy night. I once watched a man refuse to give up his stool at closing time because his machine was “just getting warm”. Every base spin here starts as cold as the one before it.

Forge of Olympus does have one thing that warms up, inside the free spins. The level climbs as hammers land and never drops while the round lasts. When the round ends, the level goes with it, and the next round starts at level 1 again unless you pay 200x or more. The heat never follows you out.

The score

Score: 6.5 out of 10. The smith never acts in the rules, and a hammer drawn on a multiplier is only a picture, so the theme costs half a point. The 4 levels earn it back, since each one raises the lowest hammer the round can bring. The 96.25% return and the 5,000x cap sit between the marks and move nothing.
