Gates of Olympus Series

Pragmatic Play has built 8 more games on the Gates of Olympus of 2021. All keep its Zeus, most keep its grid, and each changes one part of the formula.

The family likeness

The first Gates of Olympus came out on 24 February 2021, and 7 of the 9 games still play on its grid. Its 6 by 5 grid has no lines at all. A win needs 8 or more of one symbol, wherever they sit, and then the winners vanish and new symbols tumble into the gaps. Multiplier symbols land at random and multiply the win of the spin they hit. Zeus stands beside every one of these grids.

On those 7 games, 4 or more scatters open 15 free spins. In the round the multipliers stop resetting, and each one that lands on a win goes into a running total. Each of the 7 sells a round from 100x the stake. Most also offer an ante, which adds a quarter to every spin, doubles the chance of free spins and switches the purchase off. Learn one and you can read the rest.

The bigger numbers

Now, 3 editions change the figures. In Gates of Olympus 1000 of 14 December 2023 the multipliers reach 1,000x and the cap 15,000x. Gates of Olympus Super Scatter of 28 April 2025 stays at 500x and adds super scatters, worth 100x, 500x, 5,000x or 50,000x when 1 to 4 of them help open the free spins. Its ante adds half the stake rather than a quarter. Gates of Olympus 2500 of 28 September 2026 takes the multipliers to 2,500x and the cap to 25,000x. A wheel there picks 1 of 4 kinds of free spins, and you get 5 ways to raise the stake. Each of them stretches the top end.

The costume changes

3 more editions change the clothes and keep the maths. Gates of Olympus Dice, dated 12 February 2024 on Pragmatic Play’s page, swaps the gems and crowns for dice and plays by the first game’s rules. Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000 of 2 December 2024 puts the 1000’s figures under snow and Zeus in a Santa hat. Gates of Olympus 1000 Dice rolls those figures as dice, and Pragmatic Play publishes no date for it. The coat is new and the game isn’t.

I saw the same thing on the slot floor. A supplier sent new glass for a cabinet the regulars already knew, and half of them moved over, sure the new art paid better. The game behind the glass was the one they’d left. Art moves the queue, never the odds.

The small grids

Gates of Olympus POP of 31 August 2026 turns the grid upright, with 3 reels and 5 rows, and pays for 5 or more of one symbol. Its multipliers reach 1,000x and stay on screen while the tumbles run. Super scatters on the trigger spin pay one of 3 jackpots, worth 50x, 500x or 25,000x. You can’t buy the round, and there’s no ante.

Gates of Olympus Pachi shrinks the grid to 3 by 3 and pays left to right on 10 ways. A scatter in the middle holds its reel while the others spin again. 2 mini games then set the length of the free spins and the multiplier of the super round, from 1x to 91x. Its bought rounds cost 70x and 300x, and no release date is published.

The printed figures

6 of the 9 print 96.50%, though Super Scatter shows it only in the rules inside its demo. POP’s page and its demo disagree, at 96.54% and 97.05%, and so do 2500’s, at 96.51% and 96.52%. Pachi’s demo gives 96.04%. Pragmatic Play’s labels run from low on POP through medium on the first game, Dice and Super Scatter to high on the other 5. Caps go from 5,000x to 50,000x. POP and Pachi take $0.10 to $250 a spin, and the other 7 take $0.20 to $240.

The starting point

Learn the series on the first game. Its medium label, its single 96.50% and its 500x multipliers are the base every later edition adjusts, and you’ll spot each change once you know them. Go to the 1000 for larger multipliers and to POP for the low label. Every game here has its own review and score, worked out the way How the Reviews Work describes. The studio page for Pragmatic Play covers its other Olympus games.
